HANDMADE VALENTINE #2

It's day two of the DIY countdown! Here's another card idea for your grown-up valentine, hand-crafted from recycled paper.

The card: Love is in the air (inspired by this card). You will need some recycled paper (I used brown, pink, red, and white), scissors, glue, 3D foam squares, and a pen.

What to put inside: A coupon for a hot air balloon ride! Seems romantic. If you're not afraid of heights.

The science: Experiential gifts (e.g., hot air balloon rides) > material gifts. According to a 2013 study from the Wharton School, gifting experiences rather than material things actually cultivates a stronger connection between the gift giver and recipient. Seems like that's the move on Valentine's Day.
