Piermont Pier

Today, I helped some Biological Oceanography students collect water samples at Piermont Pier for a class experiment. It was blustery and chilly and oh-so-sunshiney - such a great day to be outside! Before we got to work, I grabbed this quick photo featuring the pier, the Hudson, and the Tappan Zee Bridge. Fact of the day: the pier was used in World War II as a ferry terminal to transport troops to Europe! Here's another fact: the village of Piermont is adorable. Go there.
